What Are We Gonna Do?
02:49
|
|||
I can see what we’re going through.
I don’t know what we’re gonna do.
I can't tell if t you get it too.
I don’t know when we’ll get a clue.
I can see that we’re falling down.
I don’t know when we’ll hit the ground.
Where, oh, where are the answers found?
I don’t know if we’ll come around.
We could go but we need to stay.
Too much work and we need to play.
We’ve just gotta get through the day.
Just like always we’ll be okay.

Let Our Troubles Go
03:32
|
|||
We’ve got farms and we’ve got schools
And we’ve got jobs to do.
But we’ve got homes and we’ve got lives
And we’ve got me and you.
We’ve got brains and we’ve got hearts
And we’ve got fluffy tails.
We got told to tote that barge
But we won’t lift that bale.
Chorus:
Everywhere we feel our share
Of lonely cares and woes.
But every time we start to shine
We let our troubles go.
We’ve got fire and we’ve got logs
And we’ve got jugs of wine.
We’ve got heart and we’ve got soul
And we’ve got lots of time.
Chorus:
Everywhere we feel our share
Of lonely cares and woes.
But every time we start to shine
We let our troubles go.
Oh hi daddy, daddy. Oh hi ho.
Opa dada, deepa dada dee.
Oh hi daddy, daddy. Oh hi ho.
Opa dada, deepa dada dee.

Jamie
03:42
|
|||
Jamie went away today,
To see if he could find something he needed.
Leaving everything behind,
To get some peace of mind if he succeeded.
Whatever he was looking for,
He knew that it was more than what he knew,
And if he could just find a clue,
He'd follow to the core of what was true.
Now with others, now alone,
He'd listen to the tone of conversation.
Some would laugh and some would moan,
The stories of their triumph and frustration.
And many words were used to hone
The product of their own imagination.
But nowhere in the things he heard
Was there a word to satisfy his mind.
And all his effort to unwind
The meaning left it blurred and undefined.
Lesson learned, the thing he needed
Wasn't to be found in what was spoken.
As he stood and looked around,
He heard the sound of idols being broken.
Jamie smiled, not knowing why,
But only that he'd try to find a way
To get behind the things we say,
And let the meaning fly, and fly away.

Formerly Fallen Angel
03:03
|
|||
I fell in love with a Formerly Fallen Angel
She fell in love with my formerly frozen heart.
I couldn't believe what she said when she said I amazed her.
I couldn't conceive of this love ever coming apart.
Yi, Yi, Yo
Yi, Yi, Yi , Yo.
Yi, Yo, Yi, Yi.
She started telling her story but started out slowly.
She didn't know how much pain this new lover could take.
I felt the flood of emotion she wanted to show me,
Floating around on this formerly frozen lake.
Yi, Yi, Yo
Yi, Yi, Yi , Yo.
Yi, Yo, Yi, Yi.

At The Pond
02:54
|
|||
Daylight begins.
Sound on the wind.
Birds and Bees calling.
Rush of wing, splash of fin.
Wild but still tame.
Life, not a game.
Always changing,
Yet, always staying the same.
Night coming on.
Twilight 'til dawn.
Frogs and crickets sing,
From the trees and the pond.

The Silver Moon
02:20
|

I'll be staying here 'til morning.
Here, with the owl and the loon.
To find the place that I was born in,
And dance by the light of the moon.
The Silver Moon.

Maybe I Am
05:57
|
|||
Maybe I am a frog,
Maybe I am a dog.
Maybe I am a lizard,
Living in a hollow log.
Maybe I'm many people,
And maybe I'm just myself.
Maybe I'm mythological,
Like some magical forest elf.
Maybe I have no money,
And maybe I am quite rich.
Maybe I'm satisfied with my life,
And maybe I want to switch.
Maybe I am a monkey,
And maybe I am a shrew.
Whatever I am, I'm glad that I am
All the better for meeting you.
Maybe I'll live forever,
And maybe I'll die next week
Maybe I'll free the people,
Or perhaps become a circus freak.
Maybe my heart is broken,
And maybe I'm feeling fine.
Maybe I'm in the middle,
Just using up space and time.
Maybe I'm very quiet.
Maybe I need to yell.
Maybe it's fairly obvious.
And maybe you just can't tell.
Maybe I have the answers
And maybe they don’t quite fit.
Maybe we're here to grab all we can,
Although I'm pretty sure that's not it.
Maybe my heart is broken,
And maybe my hands aren't clean.
There's something I haven't spoken,
But maybe you know what I mean.
Maybe I’m in a pickle,
And maybe I’m in the air.
Maybe I’m in the middle.
Maybe I’ll meet you there.

I Wrote A Song
03:24
|
|||
Well, I woke up this morning with a tune in my head,
And I hastily grabbed my guitar.
I was taking all day to find something to say,
And I probably took it too far.
Because, I wrote a song.
I would sing for days and days.
Meanwhile time marches on.
Never ceases to amaze.
I was taking a shower for a couple of hours,
And I constantly sang my new tune.
I was making up verses that kept getting worse,
As I sang like a total buffoon.
But then, I wrote a song
I would sing for days and days.
Meanwhile time marches on.
Never ceases to amaze.
Well, it lifted my spirits when I had all the lyrics,
Written down in my notebook like art.
Though the song was complete,
I'm compelled to repeatedly
Sing it to commit it to heart.
Because, I wrote a song.
I would sing for days and days.
Meanwhile time marches on.
Never ceases to amaze.
I was staying on pitch while my wife in the kitchen,
Was chopping up beans with a knife.
"Dear, you sing like a bird but I've already heard it.
So, I fear it's your song or your life."
(uh-oh...)
I wrote a song.
I would sing for days and days.
Meanwhile time moseys on.
Never ceases to amaze.

Senorita De Mayo
02:48
|
|||
Here’s a funny story that happened to me
You can never, ever, ever deny-o.
Involves a pretty lady I happened to see
And it happened on a Cinco De Mayo.
I said, “Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay-o,
Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay-o”
I saw her at the festival down on the square
And I followed her around for a whi-le.
I really can’t attest to the rest of the fair,
When she turned around and gave me a smi-le.
I said, “Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay-o,
Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay-o”.
Now the lady in the story has stolen my heart,
Though I only ever saw her that day-o.
Since we never got together we never will part.
You can never ever take that away-o.
I said, “Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay-o,
Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay-o”.

Stay Low Blues
02:50
|
|||
Stay low. Momma you better stay low.
Stay low. Momma you better stay low.
‘Cause you can be anywhere you want to go.
Get high. Momma you better get high.
Get high. Momma you better get high.
‘Cause you can be anything you want to try.
Stay low. Momma you better stay low.
Stay low. Momma you better stay low.
‘Cause you can be anything you want.
You can be anything you want.
You can be anything you want, you know.

I've been quite surprised by the whole situation
I'm sittin' here waiting for you.
